daiwa vs shimano

i know this is a life long argument but just wondering what reel do people prefer.... i started first off with daiwa, but have moved towards shimano... would like to see what people say

There are already heaps of threads on this topic.

Each to their own, but if it was an election, Daiwa would win more seats amongst the voting Bream Master population.

I like both . prefer daiwa for anything under 3000

Shimano 4000 and above in spinning reels

But I'm shimano over heads for game fishing


But use both and see what u think

I'm not a fan of some of the stradics ci4 that get sloppy handles

I'd spend the extra and get the sustain or a luvias IMO

I have both, and I can't pick a favourite between them.
They do what there meant to, catch fish....

i agree. and like me am looking for good quality rods and reels on as budget.. being 14 and with not a lot of money is hard when you want the lates rods or lures
