Team daiwa X100HSD vs castaic 200SF

Hi guys

I am thinking to buy a baitcast reel. In my mind are the TEAM DAIWA X100-HSD and SHIMANO CASTAIC 200SF? Dose anyone own and play with them before which one is better in term of performance and how much are they Any comment would be great

P.S Mostly I will use fireline.

Regards

Danny

Danny,

I bought a Castaic a while ago on a rod/reel combo.

It is basically a Curado but with what they call Instagage which is a thumbbar system that allows you to ingage the spool without turning the handle. Handy for softplastics/prawnstars when hit on the drop apparently.

Anyway I havnt had a chance to give it a good work out yet but apperas to be a nice little reel.

Oh as for RRP I cant find it anywhere on Aussie websites (except Shimanos with no price).

In the US the Curado is $120 and the Castaic $140.
In Aus the Curado is around $270 so I'm guessing the Castaic will be $300 odd.
