Outboard mechanic North Brisbane.
Hi all. I'm having a spark issue with my 25hp merc 90's model.
I understand everyone is busy for Xmas so in the new year is fine. Either a mobile mechanic or even a member who knows their way around who might be able to take an educated look for some beer currency. I was only getting spark from the top cylinder and I noticed two of the wires had dodgy connections so I stripped them and re-joined them and now both cylinders have no spark. Grrr I haven't even put it in the water yet from buying it. It worked perfect when I bought it so I have no idea what's wrong. Thanks in advance. |

I'm not a outboard mechanic but I would trace wiring back from plugs,it sounds like a coil issue, Jump on the net and goggle the model motor and see if you can get a wiring diagram. BEST OF LUCK.

How did you go with Caboolture marine and wrecking?
I found Bribie Island Boat Sales to be one of the best North of Brisbane. |

They charge $95 per hour. I don't know the going rate but let's just say my motor hasn't left my garage yet.
