Samaki zing extreme 701 6-12lb

Any feed back on these rods,i just bought one today with the intention of using it as a bream rod in heavy country with say 8-10lb leaders. It feels light fast and up to the job but am i kidding myself.I know it sounds a bit greedy but i've lost a couple of horses recently when ive run the length of the boat with a palmed spool and still been beaten on 6lb&6lb.
I changed my mind and am swapping it for the 4-8lb,i gave it a workout in the shop and it will still pull the house down but with a bit more versatility.
cheers nereus

I love the action, rated as extra fast but its feels softer at first then locks up solid quick smart. You could extend its use to more than bream if that's what you want.I just want it to pull big fish from nasty spots and have the pudding to drive a solid jighead into a bony jaw
cheers nereus

yeh mate sweet. Looking at using it for sooties and the like so need plenty of backbone. I've only had a chance to play with the normal zing rods, would you say they are pretty similar blanks (if you've seen one before that is)

Just got one of these today to chase the local trevally and tarpon with. Couldnt beleive the amount of difference in action between the 1 piece and 2 piece models. Went the one piece cause I prefer a stiffer/faster rod. For the price seem like great value. Quite a nice finish on them, hooefully it fishes as good as it feels

Your spot on the 2 pce did feel a lot softer, here's my first three 40+ on mine and it worked exactly as i wanted it too.No fish were dropped and all were well hooked , only the 44cm fish took any drag.
cheers nereus
