Sorry can't stop laughing.
Who buys from Anaconda these days though? Anyone? Especially a pricey rod like that one. Last edited by MiSCrEANT; 26-10-2013 at 07:52 AM. |

Some classic stuff on here at the moment, making my quiet Saturday night a bit more fun!
If the guy in the yellow morph suit had a rant about a broken rod my night would be complete!! |

Hahaha...that is gold, but in reality i wouldn't expect a telescopic rod to last anyway, they are just too weak. Bought one in my early days and snapped it on the second cast!
Bet they wish they refunded or replaced the rod now... |

Poor Daiwa i say!
I wonder how many of these completely ludicrous claims Daiwa have the fortune of dealing with...... Daily, probably! Mate..... Regrettably YOUR the one that's "wak", you bought a bloody telescopic surf rod!!! No sympathy from me..... |

I'm not a huge fan of Daiwa rods for reasons ill keep to myself, anyhow this guy sounds like a complete 'KNOB'... Certainly went around the wrong way to argue warranty! The 5% failure rate on carbon rods ex factory is pretty high (if I read it right?)... Rods less than $200 for me, which will keep me from being heart broken if it blows up in my face! This guy is just a winger - my condolences to Peter which iv spoken to in the past and he came across as a great and caring service manager!! Especially with the Saltist gearing 'snappy unhappy'' issues... Last edited by SLAZMO; 26-10-2013 at 06:31 PM. |

The failure rate is 0.05%, thats super low IMO. I have never had an issue with anything Daiwa, and I would say that most rod breakages would come from user error, a percentage of people just can't own up to that and try put it back on the manufacturer, which is appalling.

"Has anyone ever been dissatisfied with a Daiwa Product or their service" It would get a few replies - I could fill the first couple of pages on my own .Dont feel too sorry for Daiwa - My last couple of experiences with them have also been "Wak"

You going to get product faults from daiwa and shimano.i had my rack raider break while I was on a metre flatty just snapped under the load.lost the fish but was guttered the rod snapped.by coincidence the day I was fishing on the water was john dunphy nephew fishing on the shimano boat.told him what had happened and he told me to come and see him personally.he replaced my rod with a t curve no extra charge.man was pumped as I had just purchased a t curve the week before.
