Daiwa Aegis or Luvias

Hey guys,
Looking at getting a couple of reels, either 2 x 2004 or a 2004 and 2506, and just trying to decide on the new Daiwa Aegis http://daiwafishing.com.au/aegis/ or the the current model Luvias http://daiwafishing.com.au/luvias_reel/
What are people thoughts on these.
Thanks Dale.

I don't have either, but I too are looking at a 2004 Luvias. Are you planning to fish all braid or with Flouro?

Had a play with the aegis the other day at my local, although not to bad a reel, personally I would spend the extra and get the luvias, out of the box the luvias just feels so much better.

Are you looking at like a 6lb or 8lb braid?

What ever 2 i get I want them to be the same asI want start building up using the same gear with different line and rod setups.

I have 2 x 2506 Emmas and a 2508 Steez, i will be replacing a 2004 MX gekka so am starting to lean towards the 2 x 2004 luvis, i just love the look of the Aegis though?

Go the Luvias. Silky smooth and perform great. I like the look of the Aegis too but if it only costs you a little more than I would Def go Luvias all the way for performance.

the New Aegis are awesome
they dont feel quite as nice as the luvias
they are slightly heavier and have the body of the caldia
the handles are also abit funny, just the style of the grip
i dont know if the extra hundred dollars for a luvias is worth it??
apart from being a tad lighter and the drag sounding different
maybe get one of each aegis for the braid and luvias for the fluro?

im gonna get a 2506 Aegis and then a 1003 luvias
because they are both awesome reels
i already have a 2004 luvias which has been awesome

Yeah in that case. The two 2004 are the best bet

aegis vs luvias

i've had the same problem in deciding the luvias or aegis but when i held both of them the luvias feels far more superior than the aegis. the winding of the handle is extremely smooth also the stradic ci4+ felt better than the aegis. IMO daiwa you gotta spend minimum 400+

Yeah I had a muck around now with both and will be going 2 x Luvias, they seem beeter built and smoother out of the box.
I can pick these up for around $280ea so don't particularly want to stretch to the certates.

Thanks for the input guys.
