Megabass = souped up Daiwa???

Guys
just curious are the megabass reels a souped up Daiwa
specially the Gous 20 and 30 look like a caldia or luvias in black colour with a different spool and handle??
even says magsealed etc etc
just wanting to know

Yep the Gous uses the caldia body

The black paint job makes it look a hell of lot better than the Caldia.

damn, i knew it looked familiar, so its RCS on steroids lol
is that the same case for the other reels and rods as well???
does anyone know wether the parts are interchangable with the caldias??
yes the black looks awsome would go well with the gen black range of rods

thats a reel only its mother could love, the red paint doesnt look to crash hot quality wise, handle looks likes something out of a mechano set

Megabass reels aren't based on any specific daiwa reels, they are just built from daiwa parts. Yuki Ito has an agreement with daiwa, wherein he operates as a design consultant for daiwa, and in return daiwa allow him to use their gear. Calling a Gaus 20 a caldia is like calling a steez or exist a caldia, just because they have the same body.

I think its a fair comparison. Both mid-range cheapos in a pair of lacy knickers with generous spray tans.
