Bought a couple of cheap curados but am keen to put some better bearings to improve casting. Any ideas?

Interesting but wouldn't you have to drill it evenly so the spool remains balanced or am i wrong.

Bearings like orange seal bocas if you want to cast further with heavier lures.
For lighter lures, some finesse bearings from zpi or hedgehog with an avail shallow spool.

My dad and I still run a couple of e series, great reels. Like the others have said, a set of boca bearings is a handy upgrade. We did them as a service was due, not for a pimping so much. I thought I had the numbers saved somewhere but can't find them for you. They're pretty easy to get off the net anyway.

I have noticed that with the Shimano bearings they are say 3.98mm OD - when you go to Boca their bearings are say 4.00 OD. I am measuring every bearing in my reels inc the Curado and the discrepancies found eg: Stradic Ci4's.
