Old Skool bream lures
G'day peeps Just wondering who still uses old skool lures like Rebel,Heddon,Mann's and Bomber lures on bream just curious to see some breambos who still might be using them maybe as ever faithful or a cheaper alternative to some of the high priced jap lures but still made in china lures out there some may be too cautious to throw out on fish as they might be near impossible at times to replace or those like to chop and change test run their lures to see what still works like myself just curious on your thoughts mine are Rebel teeny crawfish and teeny R's I used to use Mann's depth 5+ lures excellent slayers for bass bream and flattys but now are near impossible to replace some colours.

I still occasionally throw a McGrath Attack or a Scorpion around the place.
Both great lures in their day and still catch fish. My oldest lures are a couple of the original, rubber Floppys. Not game to risk losing one of them these days.

I own heaps heaps of Jap minnows and most are very shiny or transparent but the old school solid colored minnows still have their days.
I wouldn't swap my Teeny R for a Jackall Chubby, it's still my number one bass lure after twenty years of use. |

im the same as green hornet, had some McGrath attacks and Merlins from when I worked at Blue Water about 15 years ago. only stopped using then about 2 years ago. also had a few floppies. I ended up passing them onto some one who would look after them properly.

For the halco scorpians r5 fire fin r7 fluro green h60 rainbow trout r11 chrome gold orange black my favourite is the r11 chrome gold orange black. Pritty much same for the halco laser pros except the r11 chrome gold orange doesn't exist so i use the h51chrome gold black back. Plenty of other colours that im sure work just as well on their given day :-))

Great input guys any Mann's or Heddon users out there especially the tiny & mini tads (tadpollys) one of the best swimming lures of my time caught stacks of bass and trout on them especially mini tads shame they're not in production still even if they're made in china I'd still buy em anyone out there using these gems??
