Line Comparison ?

Any views or opinions on the comparisons between Pen Powerline and Platypus Pretest for use as a leader ?

line

Hi,

I'm no expert but i believe those are both monos. I've used Penn Powerline as a leader but Dave (Kingpin) put me on to Seaguar fluorocarbon which i have found to be much more abrasion resistant and stronger. THe powerline also tends to stretch alittle more and then go curly if you get on to a hard fighing fish..

So fluorocarbon is the way to go for me. I can't see any downside to fluoro's compared to monos aside from the price...

And I do see a huge difference in hookups using fluoro compared to braid, and a smaller but still significant difference with mono. This is because fluorocarbon is a very similar refractive index to water and is thus marketed as "invisible"..

I think berkley vanish is awell known fluoro that a lot of ppl use? I could be wrong tho..
