Cranka Crab - Report

Hey guys,

As there is a fair amount of interest here at BM regarding the Cranka Crab.
I thought I would share with you how the Crab preformed at the BETS Grand Final, last weekend.

Here's a link to a Blog I wrote earlier today, enjoy
Regards MH.

Congrats again Mark and Adrian on another sensational result in the BETS series... you guys are amazingly consistent with a win and now three 2nd places in what must surely be one of the biggest and most prestigious bream tournament series in the country... top job lads that is a sensation track record!

Stoked to hear that the Crab impressed you enough for you to have the confidence to fish it in such an important event!... and blown away to hear it caught fish for you in water from 5 - 65ft in depth!

Thanks for the report Mark and for your support and input into the CRANKA product range... we could not create the products we do without the valued input of our CRANKA Pro staff team!

Again awesome result... well done!

Cheers
Steersy

mr perch, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the resilience of the soft plastic leg formula. Over the course of the three days of fishing these Crabs, I didn’t loose a single leg! Not sure on cost of replacement parts at this stage.

Good question hatch, I would say very similar rate in comparison. It did take me some time to get my head around how best to fish them.
I did miss a few fish at first, but it’s the same as using any new lure for the first time.
You need to work out how the fish want them presented! When fishing deeper water, I found fishing them slowly with the occasional hop worked best.
And around structure, most of the fish ate it on the drop!

I will update with replacement parts pricing ASAP... As Mark has already said you should find that the legs stand up well!

Typically the Claws / Hooks will only require changing when the hooks become blunt or bent just like any other lure!

Will confirm parts pricing soon!

Thanks Mark for your replies things have been very hectic at my end of late... cheers!

Smile Cranka Crab Lures

I don't fish tournaments yet but do catch a fair share of bigger bream on live crabs.
If I do decide to start competing in competitions, I would be very eager to give these lures a try.
Will keep my ears out for when they become available, and how to purchase them in SA.
Cheers for the info on them, look forward to more feedback.
Steve
