Bearings

Hi,
I have a Daiwa Samurai-7i,
Was wondering is the only place to get the bearings from overseas or can local bearing shops sell bearing to suit these reels? Pic attached.

Cheers,

Cameron

I have that same reel
I would get on the phone and call diawa itself or just go down to a well known tackle shop and ask them. They should point you in the right direction.

chears, Nathan

Go to a tackle shop and they will be able to order the part for you. You're probably looking at $15+ for a Daiwa bearing although perhaps with a cheaper reel not so much...

G'day Cameron,

I recently faced the same problem. Daiwa bearings were to cost $12 but were not in stock at the time. I then went to a local bearing supplier and had them measure up the damaged bearing. This is now on order for $6.50. Might be worth considering...

Cheers,

Darto

Hey darto,

So when do you think you will be getting the bearings?
Whats the company? PM if you have any details for them, let me know how they go.

Found a guy on the web that does fishing reel bearings, reckons he can give me a replacemnt bearing, will see how it goes.

Cheers,

Cameron

Take the bearing to any of the Bearing Services Shops, they are throughout Australia, they will measure it up for you and I'm 100% certain they will have a bearing to suit your reel. they alway been able to supply me with bearings for my past Harley's and reels.
