2010 Certate or 2012 Caldia ?

I'm in the market for a new reel, wondering what is better value for money ?
The 2012 2004 Caldia or the 2010 2000 Certate ?
Advice would be greatly appreciated !

Better reel is the certate. Better value for money is the caldia. Get the best you can afford.

the new cladia is amazing, never used the old certate, but you can pick up a new cladia on ebay for around $220 delivered, for that price you cant go wrong. they dont miss a beat

Certate any day of the week, craps all over the new caldiass. I'd go the luvias over the Caldia too, especially at the price you can get them these days

does anyone know what the new caldia drag sounds like?
does it sound like the 2010 certate, 12 luvias, exist, etc
because i noticed the newer reels
like the new emeraldas 2508, and new 13 certate have more quieter dragd
that dont sound like the luvias etc
they have more of a freams and ballistic drag, i think for more finesse reasons

You had me going! When you said caldia 2012 I thought there must have been a new model after the 2011, but a quick google shows a lot of sites incorrectly calling the 2011 caldia a 2012 model...
Sure your not thinking of the new new luvias which is a much better reel than the caldia and a 2012 model?
Anyway that aside the certate is much better - i have used 2000 and 2500 caldias and they are good reels dont get me wrong, but the 2010 certates are awesome reels and much better and have 3BB extra and made in japan. Once i used the certates i got rid of my caldias and will never go back. I do have a couple of the 2012 luvias which still feel reel nice alongside the certates as they look better and are lighter. Work out your budget and get what fits it you'll be happy with either, or go in the middle and get the luvias - still made in Japan!
