June Comp SP or HB?

What is the more successful for the June comp. Is it SP or HB?
My first ever Bream was caught on SP. I prefer HB, so if SP are the go I will have to practise.
Do you need different gear set up for SP as compared to HB.
Currently have Diawa Heartlsnd IM6 with Okuma AV-20, 4lb fireline with 8lb Berkley vanish leader. Will this do for SP?

Sounds like your setup is pretty good and should work with either. As to what you should use I think you will find both will be used during the comp. Don't restrict yourself to either; you have to be flexible and try diff lures/techniques on the day(s). You will probably want to try SP in more structured territory and HB more on the flats. But HB's still will work in SP areas and vice versa. I'm told during winter SP's are the go but as said be flexible and adapt depending on the territory and conditions. Also be unconventional and try those cheap $5 lures and unheard of SP's; you may well crack it and kick everyones ass . Lastly make sure you have fun .

Good luck
