New stradic ci4 model?

Ive noticed all the main aussie stores have ci4s on sale at the moment. Ive heard rumours of a new model coming out. Has ayone got the inside goss?

Yep I tried to order a 2500 ci4 and couldn't get one then was told new model coming out ci4x I think they said

You have got to be kidding me I just bought a ci4 the other day. If there is a new one it will be interesting to see what they do to it.

Hard to believe the ci4 came out 4 years ago already!

Very quiet on the new tackle front. But we're a bit early early July the American show icast reveals a bit

Heard the same thing that there releasing a newer and better reel than its predecessor.i was about to buy one but I'm holding of till the new model comes out.

if theres a new one soon then it will be worth waiting for, should have xship hopefully, such a lite reel mine been hammered on 50cm trevs in the river lately and still giving 110%

I love my 2500 Ci4 - smoothe little reel with a drag that i would say would be 110% better than my new Shimano Sustain 5000...

Not happy with the Sustain and especially the drag setup - nothing better internally than a Ci4... Should have saved myself some $$$ and got the Ci4 4000!

I guess for those that have used the old Stradic or have the new Stradic FJ with X Shipt and can use it beside the non X Ship stradic Ci4 - the feel is pretty much the same. I wouldnt worry about the new model unless its necessary to 'keep up with the Joneses'... Save yourself some $ and take advantage of the old Ci4.
