No Fishing- Cold Turkey What do you do?

Hey Guys,

Just wondering how do you cope with not being able to go fishing for long periods of time?

I haven't been for a month and I'm going cold turkey!!

Due to work and other commitments I don't have the time to go for at least another 2 weeks, I don't think I have ever been without a sessions for 6 weeks.

What do you do to cope?

My lure boxes, reels etc look so clean and organised after a long session without a flick

go online and buy more gear mate

don't worry Voy, as soon as you get a free weekend (or maybe during the week, cough cough

) we'll head up to forster for a flick

Same here mate i feel your pain, this is the longest i have gone without a fish in at least 7-8 Years

I live in Paynesville and can't even get on water for an hour lol. Maybe one day i will get out there, DohDohDohDoh weather here atm anyway i guess

Haha yeah...I do the same thing,swap trebles over,tie new leaders and ect...
But I aslo found that this just made me wanna go fishing even more

What do you do when you have already done all that about 4 times over?

I then decide that my lure layout and sellection for the yak can be improved and start over again !! And when really desperate i attempt to tie a few fly's....

i cope by polishing my Boat

then i would set it up as i was going to go fishing

but then i would realise that i cant go fishing

so i would go threw my fishing gear to make sure its way i like it then i would go to the tackle shop and ...................................

Get yourself an aquarium and test out some hookless hards and plastics... never a boring moment when you have an 8ft tank with barra in your room

I haven't been fishing in ages it sucks

I just think of all the times I went out and did not catch anything that way it does not suck so much.

My big lures have been turned into bath toys for the kids they might as well get some use.
