Make your own - I have and they're pretty good.

I have some more on the way with hyper pink drill cotton for some of my taller spin sticks.

Make them out of drill cotton and they will last a lifetime!

Just on making your own Slazmo, i was thinking of getting old gramdma to knock some up on the over locker using black shade cloth!!!

From what it looks like - the rod gloves are literally just.... Cable covers.

Shade cloth I doubt would be good enough - get yourself some cable covers and work some up.

I have had three different brands/types of these.

Stick jacket, cabela's own brand and Hurricane ones.

The cabela's ones weren't as good as I hoped. The stick jackets and hurricane are both great quality and on par with each other, but I prefer the Hurricane ones as the ends are taped and 'feed' into rod lockers better than the stick jackets ones which have a bulky eyelet on the tip. This eyelet also makes them slightly heavier in the tip which I didn't like with a really light tipped rod in them. Kind of had a pendulum effect with the extra bit of weight, if that makes sense.

Cheers, Rhet
