Loose Knob!!

I have changed all of my Daiwa knobs over to either RCS cork or power knobs. All except one work great. The one on my 2004 Steez keeps on coming loose... Fitted the same was as the other 8, so not sure of the reason Anyone had this problem and know of an easy fix ?????

play around with the shims .. remove and add .. maybe it has too many shims and the screw can't get to the bottom of the thread ... but problem with not enough shims is that when you screw it tight .. the knob may not spin. have a go at that ..

otherwise loctite it

good option...

how was it sitting with the OEM knob ?? if it was fine, there is nothing wrong with the screw .. but maybe the knob is a slightly different size and causing you grief. most likely bad screw / slightly worn thread or slightly diff size knob

if it's just a slopy knob with play it will be lacking Shims, had the same prob with fitting an rcs knob to my steez 2500, ended up buying another pack of shims and added all of them, problem solvered.
Just fitted 2 rcs knobs on a doubble handle Exist 2508, one handle required 1 shim the other 4.

locktite is a must on those dodgy little screws as well!

cheers
