I have used the P21 Crack Jack in the smallest size in Carmen Red and in the Green prawn colour 48sp deep. After you clean out some of the extra epoxy around the tow point, they are some of the best lookin lures. But what i have found, is even in a small diver to 1.5m, it dives really quick and stays down, even when retrieving it close to your feet, its still down. Some other brand lures dive down, but already start to climb early and hardly stay at their claimed depth. It also feels great through the rod, and great action.

Gagagoon is an amazing stick bait, especially the black with red belly (Darkside).

Have a look at the Hurricane Fatty mate, a great chubby style lure at a good price. Not sure where you are but the ANZAC is a proven Gippy colour.

Cranka Cranks are my number one 'go to' lure, especially the shallow version. Ghost Ayu, Beer Bottle and Salmon Guts are my favourite colours.

Jackall Chubby minnows are an excellent all round performer in either shallow or deep. The brown suji is the best colour followed by ghost wagasaki.

Zipbait Khamsin Tiny in both deep and shallow are also excellent performers.

I'd feel completely happy to fish for bream anywhere with a small tackle box full of the above lures.

Get them down to depth then twitch twitch pause (repeat).
Blacks down our way seem to love the pause.
