Shimano Conquest 50 or Core 50?

Hi guys; have had my eye on both reels for some time and probably will buy one tax return time. I want a baitcaster reel that is saltwater safe, can cast extremely light lures and is reliable. It would be used primarily for bass with some crossover as a bream reel. Which one and why? Rod recommendations?

The conquests are sick reels, I had a little play with a 200 and was very impressed but thecore may be better for ultra light lures

Yes, i'm probably leaning towards the conquest because of the quality and durability of its components. I had a calcutta 50 before and that was nice enough so I could imagine the conquest would be another level again. Anyone else have a comment?

They're both good reels but the Core will probably balance better with more rods.
Get both

It isn't a Shimano, but look at the Revo LT from Japan. They're nice reels. Casts light lures well and is saltwater safe.

Thanks for the heads up on the Revo LT, its one I hadn't considered. Certainly a nice reel. Rumour has it that Shimano is bringing out a Metanium 50 in 2014 that will undercut the pricing on the Core. I might wait until I hear a review before decision time...
