Smith Camions
Hi all,
Considering something a little different from the Jackall Chubbies. Not too many recent threads on these, thus was after feedback as to their fish catching abilities. More likely after the SR or magnum SR to work flats. Thanks. |

Great lure. Different from the chubby though, not as loud and a bit tighter. So I wouldn't replace the chubby's for them, But I would get some foreshore. There action is great and bream love them.

Camions are great lures!! But the only ing is when they get a bit whacked up its easy for the to start swimming on the side.

Disagree.
Crankas swim better out of the pack and have a better colour range. Love my caminons, but crankas take the cream for me. |

I really like them.
Try the matt black one with red eyes. The shallow runner swims shallower than a chubby which is handy but they are lighter and don't cast as good. Never had a problem with them not swimming straight. Dave |

Can't go wrong with Camions mate, they are very consistant lures.

i find camions just a little too light ,which makes them good to use in your kayak in stealth situations.
when using the boat i like the chubby for the extra distance gained when casting. both great lures in their own right

Camions are one of the best crank baits on the market IMO. Only problem I have is the trebles only last a few fish. Deffently one of the go to lures when cranking weed flats.

I have only had one Smith Camion, it was dark green with a black eye. Got absolutely smoked by a big bream 40cm+...so yes they work

Much appreciated gents. Always thought they looked pretty good. Any colour suggestions? Water colour likely to vary so more a question of what people have found to work.
