W.A Anglers Needed for Recfishwest Filming Project

Hi all,

Late last year I was given a grant to make fishing videos for Recfishwest.

While we do have a number of fishos lined up to film, we still need more to get the job done.

All the videos will be about Western Australian rec angling (including crabbing, lobster etc) and will be shot in doco style. They will run for 2-3 minutes each and will cover why you like to fish and why you like to catch a particular type of fish.

What I am chasing is anglers who are willing to be filmed for the project.

We have the bream stuff covered so I am chasing people who have a passion for other types of angling. Whether it be Whiting on poppers, snapper on bait or plastics or things like squid, flathead or tailor, even just a general story on your fishing passion eg, beach fishing, boat fishing or yak fishing. If you think it will make a good story I would love to hear from you. Also, if you have any other ideas on what you would like to see in a mini doco on rec fishing please let me know.

There are interviews that will need to be done. These are talking only (no camera pointed at your face) and the process usually takes a whole day with maybe a little more for doing the interview (we need two-three minutes of solid talking for it to work).

So if you are keen to jump on board or know someone who may be send me a PM here and we can try and sort it out!

Phil, would have been interested in a whiting one, in Mandurah, but a bit late in the year now though, shame they were monsters this year.

That's a relatively sustainable fishery that should be promoted to keep the pressure off fish stocks.

Hazell, we have a squid one covered as we will be filming some sience research being conducted on them at the moment. But we do have two years of filming so it could still be on the cards.

Brad you know we are coming to see you and your family for sure. Let me know when there is a sweet weather day and we are on it!!!

I really want a whiting on poppers. I have been talking to Ant Sexton but he has said it has got too late as-well...Is there any still in Mandurah?

What we really need is some one from down in the Denmark/ Albany area to film a salmon from the beach segment. We tried yesterday and only hooked one, but jumped it.

If there is any one down here who can film mid week this week hit me back asap.
