MO Tackle - Delivery Times???

Anybody care to comment on how long it takes MO to ship an order out? Took them 3 days to tell me an item in my order was out of stock, not happy Jan. I would have opted with some of the sites sponsors but they didn't stock many of the items I was ordering unfortunately.

I've found it can vary
Few times delivered in 2 days
Other times a week

Usually 2 working days from them to Sydney.
I did have one experience where i ordered something and they called me a few days later to let me know the item wasn't in stock

I've found this to be the usual. Ray / Ann get orders out a lot quicker. usually overnight to Melb.

They also pack their rods ridiculously well. It took me 15 mins to unwrap the last rod i bought from them

In my experience they're very unpredictable, order a rod and reel and got it in 2 days (well packed), ordered some lures and took over a week. My advise would be not to rely on them, if you need a few lures asap for a weekend trip use fishin.com.au - ordered something yesterday morning and it was on my desk first thing today. If you're buying a rod and are prepared to wait then they're hard to beat.

it depends where you are located ... no issues for me since im in a major city

for small items you can even request to use aust post vs courier to save on delivery.

Bear in mind they are the largest tackle shop in the country, perhaps the world, and this is probably the busiest time for retailers and aus post. That may explain the delay.
I only wait a few days for gear, and I'm in Darwin

Chill aye

I doubt they are bigger than Cabela's or a BassPro

I bought few things from Mo's and they have been good so far-3-5 days.

ive ordered a few things of there and never had a problem, would have alot to do with where you are located but if you ask me if they seem unreliable let them know so they can improve or just look befor you order something if it is on back order, i dont think that it tells you but it would be handy to know before buying anything. Found that mo had some really cheap items on quite a bit of there stock

I don't think it matters where you are located.I live in rural SA and if they have the bits, I get them in a couple of days. The trouble is the web site.
It doesn't tell you what items are in stock and what isn't.
If you want something in a couple of days, ring them first and ask if it's in stock, if it isn't, let them know you'll get it somewhere else.
When it comes to lures, our sponsored sites are the go.
The good thing about fishin.com and mylureshop.com is they update their websites so you know whats in stock.

I've found them to be really good, it usually takes 2 days to North Queensland. I do however call before I order to ensure it will be sent that day. From memory their orders get picked up at 2pm so if I order before 1:30 it gets sent the same day.

If they have the items in stock the longest I have had to wait is just over a week. If out of stock it can take months.
Now is probably the worst time to be making an order.
It always pays to get in before the christmas and easter rush with any mail order company, not just these guys.

They have been good for me. I just write in my order that I need the items by a certain date and if they can't deliver them by that date then to cancel the order. Works for me.

I have only had them run out of something I ordered once, wasn't a big problem, the funny thing was that I got a call from them 6 months later telling me that the lure was now in stock and if I still wanted it
