reel: Cap 2500

i have a 1500 i use with 4Lb and 6Lb for trout and bream etc.
it is a samiri 7i (crap)

so thinking about a Capricorn.

2500 - is it to big for bream (vic) and is it to small for salmon on my custom surf spinning rod (currently using a okuma with 12lb line max)

i guess its going to be a bit heavy for the bream, and maybe light on for the slamon?

the current Okuma is a bit heavy for the supurb slamon light surf rod, thats why i'm thinking, and i would also like a nive reel for light spinning (one spool light, one heavy)

I have the 2500 but i would rather the 1500 because it is a little to big. not that you couldnt use it for breaming though coz i find it great.
