Barra/Bass set up (around 15k)

I'm relatively new here and after putting my Seafarer up for sale I'm looking at moving towards a bass/bream outfit for estuaries and the dams here.

My budget is around $15k, preferably less and I'm comfortable buying second hand.

I've searched the forum quite a bit and I did have my eye on a couple of polycrafts that recently sold. My other thoughts are something like

Requirements are preferably 4stroke, 4.1-4.5m, side console, electric, live tanks (optioned or available) and good forward/rear decks.

Also considering makocraft or the equivalent.

Appreciate any advice,
Luke

Heaps of good boats that meet your criteria. Stacer, Tabs, Makocraft, Quintrex, Crossx Country, Blue fin, Horizon, Polycraft, Allycraft, Anglapro and more all make good boats. Go second hand if your happy, get a bit more for your money that way. Just keep looking around, eventually one will pop up that is what your after at the right price.

I've narrowed my choices down to a Allycraft 425 Shadow Mirage or a Polycraft 4.1 Challenger. Both around the same price although the Allycraft comes with a few more options.

One of the pros I like about the alley is the higher sides for the few times I'll venture out chasing Spaniards.

Appreciate any thoughts on both.

I have a alley craft 435 apache and it also has high sides. It's great for having the young fella in the boat. I have had the boat about 8 months now and I love it.
Like u I narrowed my choice down to my alley and a polycraft, in the end the alley was cheaper and being a tinny it was much easier to do the mods I wanted.
Good luck mate looking forward to seeing what u get
