Anti-Foul for aluminium hull
Hi,
My alloy 14' is permanently moored at the front of my house and fouls within a matter of weeks. Necessitating constant winching up and scraping. Traditional anti fouling is copper based and cannot be applied to alloy hulled boats and the antifoul that is suitable is so complicated to apply that I have always baulked at doing it. Then I found a product call Lanolene that is derived from wool fat. A lot of the trawlers in Ulladulla are now using it, I bought 5L for $90-00 and applied 4 coats (that could not be simpler) and 3 weeks have passed and there is NO fouling at all. You can paint it on your boat trailer and the water just beads off instantly. It stops all rust and is not toxic and approved by waterways and is an Aussie product, I can't rave enough about the stuff. Jim
