New tub, hello water again

Some of you guys may remember talk of a new boat I purchased last September.
Well that story is still ongoing, no boat and waiting for court to try to recover the money.
But that's another story.

I couldn't wait any longer and have just got back from the big island with a new rig in tow. I haven't been out on the water much in the last 12 months with much of this year shore based.

I decided enough was enough and took the plunge. Had a mate check out a boat I found in Heatherbrea north of Newcastle. It was as good as I hoped so I put a deposit on it and booked in the last spot on the Spirit to get it back home should it meet my own expectations on inspection.

A long 12hr drive off the Spirit north and a restless night sleeping in 36deg heat!
Up early to check out the boat. Loved it. Sold.
After a lot of trouble at the bank proving who I was and requiring a signature from my wife in Hobart :/ we weren't heading south at 10am but 6:00pm!
Driving till midnight and crashing in the vehicle at Yass. Up again at 6 for brekkie we were then back on the road in torrential rain all the way back to Port Melbourne.
Very early night...... Getting old and we were back in TAS.
Very very tiring but very happy too.

The boat, well it suits my fishing these days chasing the bream and trout. I haven't trolled in years and even my 6yr old son is a spinning boy already.

Anyway here it is:
Stratos 294XL - 200hp Mercury Optimax

Even managed a quick swim after work yesterday to christen her with a few bream. Very nice moment to be back on the water again.
Hope you enjoy the pics.

69mph/111kph so far. No jack plate yet and only an hour or so behind the wheel.
Bit more time to play just yet.

And the first bream was a buzz mate.
