Rarenium or Patriach.

I'm putting together a 2-4lb spinning outfit and have already decided on the rod which is a daiwa Black Label Versatile. I looked at a 1000 Rarenium today and it felt nice and light but have heard the Phlueger Patriach reel is also pretty light weight. Has anyone got or tried a Patriach ?

come on mate ... everybody knows that you need a daiwa reel on a daiwa rod :P

if it's between those two, i'd pick the rarenium.

I've only ever had Shimano's. For a bit extra I could get a Luvias but I will have a look at the Patriach.
Never had a Daiwa.

Patriarchs are great. Way, wayyyyy better than the older pfluegers that had corrosion issues!

Rareniums are alright but I prefer the Stradic Ci4's from Shimano.
