Look at the Ryoga 1016, I prefer it over my HLC.

Got mine matched to a CBR802, and it feels nice. Not sure what poundage the 847 are though..

I talked to a few guys and they said I'd wanna be using 30-50lb braid? So I was looking through the new split grip GLXs and found this one 15-25lb what you think? Calcuttas any good or is that te hole daiwa vs toga debate haha?! I had a look for ryogas on eBay this morning and couldn't find any in Australia but that will obviously change in the next 2 months.

How about a Pluton 2020?
It's pretty much the Ryoga without the handle bearings and drag clicker. I think it may have stronger gears in it as well but is a little heavier than the Ryoga 2020.

Those tranxs are absolute beasts! They can fit something like 425 yds of 50lb on it. Watched a video of guys using them for tuna in the us. And not small Tuna either

That thing is huge does it look massive though? Haha yeah $475 was trying to hold out on something $350ish was thinking a Calcutta just to get me buy up there! I'll be taking up a 7'7 bronze back 7-17lb with a create 3500.
BSR 852 GLX with Stella 3000 and then for the bait caster! Tranx looks sick but for its price I may aswell buy a Calcutta cOnquest know what I mean. Are low profile bait casters better for up there than drum type bait casters ?

The new calcuttas are nice reels, you can get them for around $350 I think from TW pro bass fishing in the states.

X2 for the Daiwa Saltist HRF,I have had one for around 7 years, use it for Barra,Cod Snapper,Jew and Jacks, tough as,I usually rotate my gear every 18months to 2 years and I have found no need to do this with the HRF.
