Diawa laguna bail arm problems

recently bought a laguna 4000 and has been great. But last time i was out the bail arm stuffed up and started feeding the line over the actuall spool. in other words it slip past where it ussualy locks in.

should i take it back or what???
has anyone else had this problem?
