Well personally i like my Shimano Stella spin rod and its reasonably cheap ($109) but the problem is you will only have $20 left if you get that so its kinda hard.
If i were you and this is what i have done i would get the rod first and save up for a good reel later i have made do with a $40 reel and it lasted me long anough to get a good new one.
So something like the Stella Spin or the Squidgie
spin are good for a low price.
If you have a cheapo reel round the size 1500-2000 try that out while you save for a god reel.
Im sure there is a cheaper combo you can pit up for around $130 though?

I hope this helps a little bit
