Ci4 and salt water??

He guys
Just wondering how the ci4's go in the salt water, as they are a fresh water reel

Well they aren't really designed to be put "in" saltwater

Not planning on putting the reel in salt water. Prefer to use it above the surface

I drop mine in the water all the time,(brackish, saltwater) not on purpose! lasts fine. So it would be fine for you too.

The metal is stripped out of them and replaced with carbon firbre, hence the CI4 (carbon interfused). This is the reason why they are lighter and they would be largely impervious to rust so i shouldnt think they wouldnt be highly recommended for use in the salt as well

my ci4 sephia has been used in the salt many times and its made for saltwater fishing, no problems at all, just gotta look after it as with any reel
