Your in luck mate, i have seen this boat in person. The hull is in pretty good condition condition and looks like it has been looked after.

The carpet on the deck isn't the best in places but it's not bad. All the hatches still fit good and open and close as they should. Console looks in good condition as well.

Trailer is an easytow and is in reasonable condition but has some rust on the skid supports like is shown in the pic.

The boat cover is a nice fitting cover.

Can't tell much about the Yammie, but its a yammie so it should last for a while.

Fo $25,000 it is probably a good buy but if it was me i would look at something that is cleaner on the inside, IMO, also i'm not a fan of the colour but thats just me.

Hope this helps.

Mate i reckon good buy, easy tow trailer that's a big plus little bit of rust but provided it is not structural that's no big deal. 115 4 stroke Yamaha very reliable rep
Minn kota maxxum one of the best electrics in my opinion.
Try and talk him down a bit on price and i reckon it is a good buy.

Hmm, yes. Seems well used. Would chk the hours on the outboard. Where is the sounder? Also with one battery how will the electric work - unless it runs off the crank battery. JMHO. Here is another option http://www.tournamentboats.com.au/vi...g.php?view=833 and this would be perhaps even better, http://www.tournamentboats.com.au/vi...g.php?view=758

Not a good example that SX... It obviously hasn't had much love in it's previous life... You can see why it's been sitting there for well over 12 months and has recently been reduced to $25k... They originally were chasing $35k...If he's after a nice / clean SX180, I'd be calling Josh at Skeeter Boats Aus as he'd probably get you into a much better example than that for around the $25k mark....

Cheers.

Hey skeeter owners! a question or 2 for yas-
how many people can legally board an sx170/190 at once, and have you ever taken one out over a bar in super calm 1 metre and lower swell?
cheers matt

I haven't been in a skeeter but there's no way I'd be crossing a bar in one. Way too easy to take a decent wave over the front and bugger all freeboard for safety when your out in the open ocean. Even in calm conditions it doesn't take very long at all to blow up and getting back in should be your concern not getting out. Maybe look at a rig a bit more seaworthy, there's plenty of 'crossover' style rigs that will give you the best of Bream fishing but allow you to head outside on a good day safely.

Doesnt look very clean but what are you going to get for 25,000

Ofcourse they can handle calm outside conditions, I have seen 12 foot tinnies outside. When crossing a bar I would be very catious, That could be extreemly dangerous.

They are built for estuaries, I would just get a crossover if you are after inshore fishing options

Cheers
