Hey guys probably about to start a debate however am looking to go all out and would like some info
I am going to buy one of these but you guys are the ones who test these day in day out so what are your thoughts The Stella 2500 fe vs the new daiwa exist2012 Does anyone know if Shimano are goin to bring out a new Stella? |

Personally I'd go the stella. You can't really go wrong with it. Plus you'll save several hundred $$$$, which could go toward lures, line or a new rod to put it on
Also, just to throw this out there, the new jdm shimano vanquish is only about $500 and is on par with the stella.

Stella is over rated!
![]() Go the exist, a lot tougher than the flimsy stella. ![]() ![]() I just can't get over the bail arm on the stella being manufactured using coat hanger wire!

G'day mate, I reckon there won't be a new Stella until late 2013, (well i hope so) , the fd and fe were released 3 years apart and I think the older ones were every 4 years? so I doubt it'll be out this year.
I have a 1000 and 2500 Stella and easily the best reel I've ever handled! They pair beautifully with your loomis sticks too

What the? Flimsy? Airbail is hollow too isn't it? anyway spend $300 more on a hyped up exist that hasnt proven itself yet like the Stella fe if you need to have the latest!

Just rang Tackle world Matty thy said $1100 for and exist or $769 for a Stella think I'll go the Stella I like my branzino but daiwa do have there faults but I've been reading previous reviews and it seems like the Stella is te best you can get. And yeah Matty would look great on the loomis

Stella... no bream reel is worth 1200 bucks.. I would be happy to spend 1200 for a reel chasing line burners like GTs, Dogtooth tuna & the likes.. for bream 1000 stellas are perfect.. and youll pick them up for about 700 bucks.. thats a fair price!

LOL daiwa's bail is hollow and made of separate pieces, shimano's bail is a solid one piece? I have never even either of them break?

Each would be fine chasing bream. they arent really going to be tested to anywhere near their limit. I would personally go with an exist, or asecond hand exisr hyper branzino. I have owend the new stella fe in a 2500 and it didnt really grow on me. I did see the superseded exist series on sale online recently.
The way i view shimano atm is that nearly all there range is getting made outside of japan, how long will it be before the stella gets the same treatment?heaven forbid. Just my two cents. good luck with your decision mate

haha funny stuff. Buy a 2508 Steez mate, best value for money Bream reel around IMO. Or the new Vanquish, wouldn't mind trying one of these myself.
