Hi there Andrew

Ok, for freo traffic bridge, becos its such as narrow bit of the river, when the tide is running, it really rips through.

The easiest time to fish here, is when the tide is turning and has hence stopped

So for today, the tide is

Saturday 29th Nov 2003
0.39m @ 12:09 pm
0.89m @ 11:18 pm

This means the tide will reach its highest at 11.18pm, and then it will become still and turn

This would be the best time to fish here

You can access tide info from

http://www.coastaldata.transport.wa....edictions.html

You can still fish here when the tide is running, but youll need some heavy weight to reach the bottom (read snapper weight)

Ive always found the best time to fish freo traffic bridge is at about 3am in the morning on a still tide, but hey, not everyone is this keen

Hope this helps

Scott

Hey

Be careful there, ppl have died falling in and being dragged under coz of the strong currents and sometimes extreme cold (altho not really in this season). And also be careful when walking the planks, that place is damn scary!

Thanks scott for the reply, now I understand the tides!
It is realy scary walking across the planks. I have walked across there in 30 knot plus winds. When did those people die?
