Are you talking about the knob?

If you are fitting the small washers you get with RCS knobs make it feel alot better. Not that it makes a difference but I dont like when the knob is a little loose, I like it tight. (fishing reels not anything else)

Cheers
Chris

Nah Chris
no dramas with the knob itself. I was just wondering about the point where the handle screws onto the reel. There is a part in there that is a little loose. The bit you change when you go from left to right hand retrieve and vice versa

Pretty sure the only way to solve the issue is with a new Pinion / Drive Gear Unit as the thread is built into that. You may find it can be shimmed but being a reel of that quality I'm pretty sure if its locally bought and under warranty Daiwa will swap the Gear set out for no charge. Part number is 6Z018250 ... send the Service dept an email and they will get back to you in a couple of days.

Surely not
There must be a way to tighten it. There Is no damage to it at all.
