That is a awesome looking reel for the money.
They don't state it anywhere but the spec's say the reel has a composite body which I'm guessing is plastic.
Is this correct.
I'm looking for a reel like this to use on the kayak.

My mate has one and loves it. He just brought one of these and a Ballistic. The Aird is very nice, has a smooth drag. He has the 2500 size and we have managed some nice fish. We even landed a 62cm Mulloway using it with 6lbs finns and a 8lbs leader, Reel handled it well.

The paint work also seems abit tougher then the paint work on the SOL which seems to cheap easy when they get knock putting them in the car sometimes but the Aird seem like its got a harder clear coat.

For the price (some on ebay $90) its a 9.8/10

It would be a 10/10 but once you play with the ballistic you just want one of them as well.

Matt
