BioMaster
Im looking at the BioMaster 2500 for my new batch of reels but I would much prefer it to have a I knob rather than the T knob.
other than that its very nice for the price Can you get this changed and how much are the knobs. I am looking at buying 6 or 7 of them so its a bit of a inconvenience to have to change all the knobs. Cheers Chris |

Should be easy enough to ring Shimano in the morning?
Maybe someone can give you an answer before then. The Japanese 2500 Biomasters (or most Jap spinning reels) come with I instead of T knobs.

Will for sure. It seems to be a common problem, a few of the higher end reels have 2500 t knobs

Shouldn't be a drama mate, I dabbled with the idea of a I knob for my Stella fe2500 as I was so used to my 1000 reels with them. Shimano told me it can be done for the Stella so I doubt the biomaster will be different.
The reason I left the t on the Stella is as I switch the reel over to a heavier rod and 3000 spool for snapper, and the I knob is too small when cranking up a red! Cheers |

I find the knob on the new rarenium to be extremely comfortable.

Hey Chris I can confirm
Stella fd t knob can be changed with I knob But that gives you info in what your not after. Which is useless Last night I tried to find schematics on them But had no luck. Last edited by smokindrags; 08-01-2012 at 10:02 PM. |
