Question Clyde River - Advice for a newbie please

Hi all, I am new to the forum and have had a look at a few posts over my past few visits.
I am an experienced bait fisho who prefers the estuaries on the South Coast of NSW as they are easy for me to reach.
I have a 3.85 Quinny with a 25 Yamaha (new and hasn't seen the water yet) and I am looking to start fishing for bream using
both SP and HB (see I have been reading) and am looking for advice directed at a beginner.
I have a lot of experience fishing for trout with lures, have had some success on bass using both lures and fly, and now want to catch me some bream.
I read 8Foot's post on tactics and thoroughly enjoyed it. I haven't yet set up a rod specifically for Bream fishing but would appreciate advice re rod reel line and types of lures in order to make a start.
Would also really appreciate some advice re spots to try in the Clyde River
