Shimano Soare

Hi guys

Just purchased a Shimano Soare 30 2500HGS and was wondering how you take that little protector cap thing off? It looks pretty gay

Nah mate, bought second hand, I'll have to order another normal one. It's like a flashing pink beacon saying I'm homosexual

I bought an aftermarket one for my stella, works bloody well and has saved my reel from scratches several times. If you don't want your reel stand, PM me as I would be interested in buying it.

They are a bloody great idea I reckon. I might have to get a couple also. Do they come in different sizes for different sized reels and are they available locally? I fish a lot from the rocks and hate putting my $$$$ reels on the rocks to deal with a flapping fish, u reckon it'd be food for that scenario? I was thinking I could lay a towel down
Sorry to hi jack the thread

You can avoid scratching up your reel when putting it on the ground by pointing the reel handle down...

Having said that, I have a reel stand myself haha.
