Take your time and have a chat with a few of the guys off line. There are a lot of individuals and teams in the comps that would serve you well.

I would have to agree with the 2 guys there... As it is there a lot of anglers out there that would kill for something like this but it's hard
As u could go on porformance or just the average guy that loves fishing in the comps and having a good time

Cheers

Hayden

I personally would be looking for an angler that is confident in his own ability and the products that you will offer him. He/her doesn't have to be the best angler on the scene but consistent performances will help promote your products.

Someone with a good persona who is willing to take time out to talk and promote and who presents themself as a professional. Number one o my list however would be loyalty to you products not someond who is looking to gain some free gear...

If I was looking to get some people onboard and help promote my product I'd be looking for:

Excellent communicators both written and verbal, so they have the ability to promote the product online (forums) and speak to both other tournament anglers and the general public who have no idea about breaming and still speak to their level without patronising them.

Presentable: Dress well and not look like the local bum who just rocked up to the weigh in to see what free stuff they can score, but also look approachable and friendly - well groomed, clean shirt ect.

Skill level: I wouldn't want to sponsor someone that is all talk and has no skills. Depending on what target audience the product is aimed at - if the tournament scene I'd be looking at someone with atleast a couple of top 10 finishes in ABT comps or if the product is aimed at the social scene, i'd be looking towards someone that has natural respect amongst other anglers and can promote a product with out overly flogging it to death.

Knowledge: The ability to describe what the product does, what it doesnt do and how it does it better than other products on the market and explain how to use it so people get the most out of the product.

So basically, I'd look for people heavily involved in the forums, fishes comps and has had a few good results (not that its everything) and is generally a nice guy.

Fosterfisho nailed, , agree with all of the above, lots of people out there looking for free gear that they won't use, take your time choosing . There are also alot of decent guys, just have to find them.

Good luck
