I have a new sounder

Picked up a Matrix 35 yesterday with all the fruit and then some, Gps antennae, Weathersense, an extra base and powercable with a kota transducer. I even got 2 of those brackets like spads has to mount them on and 2 of those premier seats which i am going to mount a bit closer to the middle of the keel as to get a bit more weight forward.
It's gonna be fun trying to figure out how to fit this Minn Kota transducer as it looks as if it isn't designed to go on rotating shafts like the RT55AP. I spoke to Dave Welfare and he has his fitted like i am about too so it can be done, will post up some pictures of the install when she's done.
I am gonna go balls out tonight to fit it all so i can go down to the Murray in Mandurah and reap havoc on Bear and Jimmy, will i ever grow up
Regards
Geoff Paulic

Fantastic unit the matrix 35. I would appreciate seeing how you mount the trani on the electric. I have my garmin 12xl gps running through mine and the features are fantastic.

What gps are you running? When you mount the gps have the boat in the open and check that the reception level of the satelites is ok. I found that if I held the gps too close to the sounder the reception degraded dramatically.

The side beam is the ants pants for locating fish in bankside structure and has saved me hours of searching for fish. At last I have confidence that when my sounder tells me that there are fish there, they are there.

I can tell you exactly how he mounted the Trani on the leccy...
I actually mounted that for geoff. It's very simple. I'll see if we can get Paulic to get some pics up.
The unit comes with all that is necessary to mount the transducer to the leccy.
A picture tells a thousand words so im not gonna go into detail about it...
Pics should be up soon

Cheers

Dave
