Thanks Daiwa Australia....

After deciding it was about time.. I sent four Daiwa reels back to Daiwa Australia for some pampering..

The line roller on a couple of them had been staring to get a tad annoying,,, and the drag on one was not fairing to well...

The reels were despatched from Melbourne to Sydney, just over a week and half ago...

Arriving home today,, low and behold all four babies had arrived, oiled smooth, waiting for there next trip out..

The service the guys provided was excellent, with a call through from the team last week to determine what i found tobe an issue... Unfortunately the drag and bearings are not covered under warranty,, but at least i have a set of re-juvinated reels ready to tackle some big bream.... Well heres to hoping..

Thanks again Daiwa....

I should send my Tierra's off...they've copped a battering and don't really like getting dunked in a fresh mountain stream

It varied depending on what was Required for each reel...much like a car, they need to be seen to be quoted..

It cost me about 180 buck for four reels, delivered back to me...

Good to see you got some nice service
I've had mixed results from Daiwa, a week and a half turn around must be a new record

Thats just the line roller bearing its a $10 BB and reasonably easy to fit.

The best test to see if it is a line roller BB is get a peice of line about 50cm long and put it through the bail (locating it into the line roller) then with the reel secured you work the line over the line roller, if it is quiet it is fine, if it 'growls' it needs replacing...

Easy as that, we see it at the shop all the time, and fit the $10 parts on the spot... no need to send a reel back for just a line roller BB.
