Grab a copy of the last edition of barra bass and bream. jason wilhelm has a big speel about them. If yoy can't get the mag, let me know and ill pm you a list of what he uses.

I think he meant blades, as in the metal ones. The transams are more of a soft vibe.

I've caught rats on the 1/8th switchblades but the hooks got destroyed after a few fish. For bigger fish there are the HD Switchblades or even just the 1/2th sizes.

Nope, not anyone with half a mind. Well not typical snaggy barra town.
The blades have a totally different tactic. They are for fishing in the middle of somewhere where the barra are holding deep on a 'shutdown' bite. You wouldn't think it would work but apparently it does.
They also work in saltwater when hopped near rocky structures.

You can view the colour and sizes on works web site www.ejtodd.com.au , Jason was mainly using the 70mm version

Lures Direct do good Barra blades & from memory $6.50 each & they come with good hardware & you will even see my mug on their site with a blade caught Bazz,they have a chrome one which is deadly for Queenfish ,tuna & trevally.

More of a soft vibe, but I've been gettin alot of good fish on the Threadybusters, jigging deep rock walls and steep mangrove faces. Even smacking them in the dams, biggest so far is 118cm, they love them
