new reel for jewfish

Hi there everybody, I just signed up as there is a ton of information in this site. I hope I can learn a few things from all of the members.
I am looking for reel to target jewfish on. I wil be using 10lb fireline. I am looking at about $100 as i spend too much on fishing gear already. the reels i have seen are the avengers, daiwa crossfire, spinstar, samurai. Does anybody have any others that would be worth a look at that are around $100 dollars

HI fishoben
have a look at the Daiwa Caprice. It is the same reel as the laguna, minus a few bearing and spare spool. But the feature is the metal body, which improves durability and reduce body flex with fishing for such stump pullers as jewies. And they are $100. Well.... in Perth they are. So might want to do some price checks.
Otherwise if ur confident of buying over the internet, the Daiwa Freams is a great reel, same as the capricorns here, minus a bearing.

i just bought an Okuma Avenger AV 20, for practically anyfish i can catch :P

nice reel for a great price.

But, considering im a begginer, i wouldnt know if its a suitable reel for jewfish, but i dont see why it wont be.

im just posting, incase you were thinking of an Avenger, just to get you my opinion, that they are good reels.

other may think other wise.

take care
