enviro friendly sinkers

starting to get more kitted up for LB shark fishing and i tow baits out and using a mouse trap rig so the weight is left behind, is there anything i can use i dont have to go back and get?, im currently using a large brick with a rope to a float i go back and collect., dont want to sound lazy but after a long day a trip out in the dark to get a rock off the bottom can be a hazard id like to avoid.
