3B cranks vs Strike pro?

Hi guys,
I was just wondering what to get. I'm re-doing my box and this is what I came up with on a budget scale...

- scum dog (hooch)
- subdog (mongrel or hooch)
- puppy dog (mongrel)
- sprat stick 545VSG or A68
- micro vibe in JU005 or 154RG or 985G
- R2S baby vibe in G04-A or other.

I just would like to know from you guys (the pro's) what you would choose in this situation.

Thanks, fisho fanatic3

Hey Fisho
Berkley make great plastics like the 2"shrimp etc
But there hard bodys are only copys of popular japanese lures,
So if you want something good quality , that will last and out perform the others go for the originals like Lucky Craft Sammy 65mm , Tiemco stickminnow , Jackall chubbys , Maria Cranks , all these quality brands will serve you better in the long run , and catch all the fish you need.

Atomic crank in ghost brown shad and a Maria crank in the light brown with dark brown stripes are 2 that I wouldnt have a tacklebox without.

I already have the sammy and a smith camion sr, atomic cranks mid and deep, just want to start out small on things that work then advance to the japanese lures later.

And if I was to go to quality lures How do the cranka cranks go they look pretty good to me and the tiemco's are decent but there's no more 007.

The reason for the budget thing is 1. parents, 2. I fish snaggy weed country.
The other lures I was going to revert to was...

- atomic bream shad in muddy prawn and purple shadow.
- cranka crank/shad don't know about the colours.
- and that's it basically besides a stick minnow or vibe.

Thanks for the help guys.

mate the cranks and shads are great!!
they cast very nice so would be a better option if you are landbased.
the berkley sub dogs are great, caught my first bream on one of those.

As you already have Atomic (for the price) you should look at anything Maria. Have just receiced some shads and they look a treat. Have yet to try them out but if they work as good as they look/feel I am in for some very good breaming. Good luck with your choice. Regards. HBt.

Some of the 3B lures are fantastic.

The Fat Dogs (cranks) are sensational value for money.

Have to agree that the fat dogs are great value, either the shallow or deep versions. Used the scum dog once and that was enough for me, cant comment on the sub or puppy as havent used.
Have caught a few fish on the sprat stick and micro vibe.

Really Warren?
I haven't had any issues with my Scum Dog I find it walks very well!

Subdogs are great.

Not a fan of the puppy dog to be honest, they cast like rubbish and i dont see myself tying one on when I have a plethora of better minnows.

I find the eeeeaasiest way to walk a scum dog is to finger the line, doing this the line is bending and loosening as if you were shaking the rod the result is the scumdog walking left right.

Thanks for the help guys I think I've made up my mind..
- cranka crank
- canka shad
- subdog
- sprat stick
- river2sea baby vibe
- micro vibe

and maybe a maria or atomic bream shad. thankyou guys
