Quantum Smoke
Are they good reels for the price? I was looking at one but I don't want to spend $200+ on a quantum reel when i can get a diawa reel for the same price and i know they are good.

Quantum Smoke are "apparently" equal if not better then the curado, some say even better then the core! Which are beter then any $200 Daiwa reel you'll be able to get in AUS.
The only downside is that it will be harder to replace parts for Quantum reels then it is for shimano or Daiwa in that case. So, its a win or lose battle. Depends how you treat your reels and what you're chasing. I'd go a Citica E if I were you or wait until the new curado come out in AUS which 'hopefully' should put the previous curado E series to a discontinue price at around $200 roughly.

i just read that smokes are in the $300-400 mark. Bit out of my price range at the moment
