Arrow What size reel balances a samurai 101?

Hello fellas.
I am keen to get a new model samurai 101 to match my twinpower 1000 because I have no rod to use it with!
I weighed the TP earlier and it was approx 210g.
Would this balance well on a 101?
I know the 203 balances well with a 260g reel so my thoughts of getting a 203 are out of the picture
Also does anyone use a 1000 on a 203 or 201?
I am a bit picky when it comes to the feel in the hand
Cheers

A 200 odd gram reel will be fine with it. I use a 2500 fireblood on the 101 and it balances well. The 2500 fireblood is about 210 grams also.

Not sure where you heard a Samurai 203 balances with a 260g reel from? I've heard of combo's like Samurai 203/Sol/Certate 2004 and they're around the 220, 230g mark?

Thats awesome then!
Does the 101 have a bit of guts for a 2-4lb rod?
I am worried it will be too light :/

yeah for 101 and as for the rod it has plenty of guts, landed a 4.1kg jewie on mine not long ago, did it with ease.

I've got a 1003 Certate strapped to my 101 but chop and change it with a 2004 Steez, balances up well.

Stick minnow is on the money, for a 2-4lb rod they are surprisingly gutsy !!! You won't be disappointed.
