Sammy 65 - treble replacements ..
do these dudes use #8 owners trebles ? bloody trebles have rusted out. would you replace the split rings at the same time or will the rusty split rings be OK ? (rings aren't too rusty)
http://www.luckycraft.com/luckycraft...er/sammy65.htm thanks EDIT: ST11UL and ST36 look the part I think. Last edited by tuan; 14-08-2011 at 05:06 AM. |

My Sammys all have red hooks so I don't think they're Owners thats for sure.
My guess is they would be equivalent to roughly size 8 owners but don't quote me on that. |

Yer mate would agree if your going for bream, but for bass the bigger the better.

The larger hooks provide a better hook up rate IMO, I also prefer Owner ST11's, they are a lot finer and tend to hook up more easily. Cheers,

Thanks stompy
Can you or someone also tell me what is a good all round size to get for other lures smaller 2-3.5 gram lures such as ... jas zappas, atomic hardz mid shad 40, 1/8 switchblades, jackall chubby, stiffy popper, sigletts, berkley pop/sub-dog/slum-dog etc. st11's as well .. might as well stick with these. On average, they are probably #12, #14, #16 but I am not 100%. That's all the lures I can think off at the moment that may need changing in the near future .. thanks ! |

ST11's don't last as long as the heavier guage hooks, but they hooks up better IMO. The Decoys are also great hooks. Cheers,
